"NANODIATER" - AN EURONANOMED ERA-NET PROJECT
Nanodiater: "Nanoparticles designed to target chemokine-related inflammatory processes in vascular diseases and cancer metastasis and implementation of a biosensor to diagnose these disorders"
NANODIATER is a project proposed by an European Consortium of 7 Partners from 4 different countries, who's main objectives are:
1. To develop targeted therapies for inflammatory-related cardiovascular diseases (CVD) and tumour cell metastasis employing specially designed nanoparticles (NP) to release chemokines inhibitors restrictively at sites of activated endothelium.
2. To design and develop a NP-derived diagnostic kit (“Cell Sensor”) for non-invasive detection of blood circulating inflammatory cells or metastatic tumour cells can be predictors for the evolution of CVD or cancer, respectively.
